About Pinehurst Log Cabin...
Back O' the Moon currently offers private suites in its Canadian style log lodge, "Pinehurst". Individual cabins will be available in the summer of 2007.
Pinehurst Lodge is a 3,000 square foot lodge built of large Canadian style hand-peeled and hand-scribed spruce logs. Pinehurst has a 24' high wood-burning fireplace in the vaulted great-room. (Firewood is furnished in winter months) Three private suites are available and each has its own unique and luxurious decor. All beds are king size and all suites come with plush towels, bath mats, luxury bath soap, hairdryer, hygiene supplies, lotion, and a choice of complimentary organic coffees.
Rates for Pinehurst are determined by suite size, large group rental, or event rental.
Breakfast is optional for single and double occupancy. Menus are provided during reservation. Breakfast is always served in the dining area of the Great-room from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Breakfast for large groups is available by special quote.
There is a side deck and 10' x 40' covered front porch. An outdoor grill is available with propane for no extra charge. Charcoal is not allowed.
Check in time is 11:00 am - reservations are held until 8:00 pm. Prior arrangements must be made for late arrival. Sorry, but candles and smoking are not allowed.

The Grand Suite
The Grand Suite is an exceptionally large suite located up the log stairs from the Pinehurst Great-room. The décor is luxurious French-country. Massive exposed logs and trusses support the tall vaulted ceiling. A separate small library with a chaise lounge provides an area to read and relax. An over-sized luxurious bath with separate bathing and dressing areas adds to that "pampered" feeling.
The River Suite
The River Suite is down the hall from the Grand Suite. River is a large suite decorated in a "fishing camp" style. The River Suite has an exterior log balcony, furnished with two chairs and a table. Log stairs from the balcony provide a private access to the outdoor entertainment area below or can be used as a private entrance. The River Suite bath is large and has a footed tub and pedestal sink.
